An engaging design paying homage to Pegasus Bridge. Originally called Bénouville, the bridge was captured by British airborne troops in the opening minutes of the invasion of Normandy on 6 June,1944. German defenses at the bridge where quickly overrun but Den Brotheridge a Lieutenant with the 2nd Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry was mortally wounded in the attack - becoming the first member of the allied forces to die from enemy fire on D-Day.
