A vintage style homage to Roger David Casement. Born into an Anglo-Irish family in Sandycove, Dublin in 1864, he became a high-level British diplomat, humanitarian activist, poet, and Irish revolutionary. During WWI he established German military aid for the Irish cause culminating with a weapons shipment via U-Boat at Banna Strand in County Kerry on April 21, 1916. The shipment was aborted due to the pending Easter Rising and Casement was set ashore where he was captured by British authorities. Sir Roger Casement CMG was hanged at Pentonville Prison in London on the 3rd of August 1916 for treason.
