Homage to the 38 Dakota men hung in a mass execution at Mankato, Minnesota on December 26, 1862. One of the darkest chapters in the Dakota War of 1862, it still remains the largest mass execution in American history. Each year it's commemorated with the Dakota 38 + 2 Wokiksuye Ride from South Dakota to Mankato.
